OUR PATCH AND ITS MEANING:
Our patch is a war shield. Variations, of the war shield, were used by the warriors so that tribal members could recognize the different warriors from afar in battle. This is how the honors of the warriors were established among tribal members.
In REZ NDNS we have one war shield that covers a long history of our sovereign nations, our ancestral warrior ways, and current member honors.
The shield has a base of three colors.
In our warrior societies the color black stands for death and in war paint it means no quarter to death.
The red stands for the blood of our fallen enemies.
The yellow stands for long life through honor.
In the days of past our ancestors used the bear as a symbol of the warrior spirit and the courage possessed by the warrior.
The four tracks represent our travels in all four directions in war and life.
There are 13 black rays on the west side of the patch. These 13 rays represent the O-don , war honors, that each warrior must complete on their path to manhood.
The skull was on a death card from the Vietnam War. These death cards were left on the enemy by many US troops.
This skull represents the break of the PTSD
warriors from the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association who use
that death card skull on their back patch. The men of the CVMA
acted without honor in their dealings with the true men of combat
who suffer from PTSD.
